What the Child Nutrition Check looks at

Everyday eating shapes your child's growth, energy, focus and mood — and small gaps (especially iron) are common and easy to miss. This free tool gives you a quick read on how balanced your child's diet is for both body and brain, with simple Indian food swaps. It's general guidance, not a diagnosis.

How the free check works

  1. Answer a few quick questions about your child — about two minutes.
  2. Get your snapshot and the areas worth watching.
  3. Unlock your personalised tips — practical steps, texted to you.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a medical or nutritional diagnosis?

No — it's a free awareness check, not a diagnosis. If your child is very pale or tired, not growing well, or an extremely restricted eater, please see your paediatrician or a registered dietitian.

Why is iron such a focus?

Iron deficiency is common in Indian children and can quietly affect energy, attention and learning. Iron-rich foods (dal, ragi, greens, dates, egg/meat) plus a little vitamin C to absorb it make a real difference — but a doctor can test if you're concerned.

My child is a picky eater — is that bad?

Some pickiness is normal, especially in toddlers. The goal isn't to force foods but to keep gently offering variety and to sneak nutrition into foods they already accept (ground nuts in milk, dal in khichdi).

What ages is it for?

Parents of children roughly 6 months to 12 years. For under-1s, follow your paediatrician's feeding guidance.

Why do you ask for my mobile number?

We show your snapshot straight away. We ask for a number only to text your personalised food swaps and, if you choose, help you continue in the free ProParents app. We never share your number.

This is a general nutrition-awareness check, not a medical or dietary diagnosis. Children's needs vary. For concerns about growth, iron/anaemia, allergies or a very restricted diet, please consult your paediatrician or a registered dietitian.
