What the Child Sleep Check looks at

Sleep shapes your child's mood, learning, growth and behaviour — and short or broken sleep often shows up as tantrums and tiredness rather than obvious sleepiness. This free tool helps you see how well your child is really sleeping and what to change. It's guidance, not a diagnosis.

How the free check works

  1. Answer a few quick questions about your child — about two minutes.
  2. Get your snapshot and the areas worth watching.
  3. Unlock your personalised tips — practical steps, texted to you.

Frequently asked questions

How much sleep does my child need?

Rough daily totals (night plus naps): toddlers 11–14 hours, ages 3–5 about 10–13 hours, and ages 6–10 about 9–12 hours. Every child varies a little, so use how rested and settled they are as your real guide.

Is this a medical sleep assessment?

No — it's a free awareness check, not a diagnosis. If your child snores loudly, gasps or pauses breathing in sleep, or has ongoing sleep problems, please speak to your paediatrician.

What ages is it for?

Parents of children roughly 4 months to 10 years.

Why do you ask for my mobile number?

We show your snapshot straight away. We ask for a number only to text your personalised fixes and, if you choose, help you continue in the free ProParents app. We never share your number.

This is a general awareness check, not a medical assessment or diagnosis. If your child snores, gasps or pauses breathing in sleep, or has ongoing sleep difficulties, please speak with your paediatrician.
