Free Parenting Course for Indian Parents
The Science of Connection — A free, science-backed parenting course for Indian parents — grounded in Harvard and AAP research, taught in simple Hinglish, with short videos, weekly parenting meet-ups, and one small thing to do each day.
By the end, you'll be able to
- Stay calm when your child melts down — and know exactly what to do instead of lecturing
- Get cooperation without yelling, bribing, or repeating yourself ten times
- Build your child's brain and confidence in ordinary daily moments
- Understand the science behind the behaviour, so it finally makes sense
Lesson 6: A tantrum = brain offline
In a meltdown the thinking brain is offline — so don't lecture, be the calm.
Under 5, the emotional brain floods and the reasoning brain (prefrontal cortex) shuts off. Logic literally can't reach them in that state — it only adds panic. Your calm is what brings their brain back online.
Stop talking logic. Get low, soft voice, stay close: "Main yahin hoon." Wait for the body to settle — THEN talk.
Next tantrum: zero lectures. Just calm and close until it passes.
Every lesson is this short. The full set — with video + a daily nudge — is free in the app.

Building the brain (0–3) · Pehle 1000 din
- 3 Serve and return — Back-and-forth moments — not toys — build your baby's brain.

- 10 Give real choices — Offer two choices you're happy with — it ends power struggles.
The bigger world · Aage ki duniya
- 11 They copy your phone — Your child copies what you do — especially with your phone.
- 12 Praise effort, not "smart" — Praise the effort and the strategy — not "you're so intelligent".
- 13 The school years — From 6–13, self-control grows in bursts — match expectations to the window, and coach emotions.
